Retirement

After Prof. Dr. Rafael Ferreiro Mählmann's retirement, final microscopic examinations can still be carried out.

In the spring of 2026, equipment that does not belong to the IAG will be returned to the lending institutes, the Coal Microscopy Laboratory will be donated to the University of LaSalle in France.

  • Wave-dispersive BRUKER S8 – Tiger fluorescence-spectrometer:

  • Leica DMRX transmitted light, reflected light and fluorescence microscopy
  • CCA coal-reflection microscope
  • Leica M12 Binoculare
