Microplastics from road traffic and biogas slurry in soil

Tire abrasion is the most common source of microplastics in soil. In agriculture, however, recycled fertilizers such as biogas slurry can also be an important input source of microplastics. In this project we are specifically investigating together with the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture in Frick (CH) the influence of these two sources on microplastic concentrations in soil.
