Marcroplastic surface aging in croplands
The aging of macroplastic through UV radiation and biogeochemical processes can be evaluated with spectroscopic data and indices. In this project, macroplastic particles from the cropland are analyzed by ATR-FTIR spectroscopy and indices, like the Carbonyl (Cl) and Hydroxyl (Hl) index, among others, will be calculated to infer the duration of environmental exposure of particles.
Using R programming, a automated approach for large spectroscopic datasets will be developed.
