After a welcome by Managing Director Prof. Dr. Andreas Henk and a keynote lecture by Dr. Collin J. Weber on microplastics in soils, all graduates were personally greeted by Dean of Studies Prof. Dr. Konrad Kandler. A small geological gift was presented as a memento and the topics of the respective theses of the now former students were presented. In addition to two doctoral students, four bachelor's graduates and 14 master's graduates from the “Applied Geosciences” degree program were honored. Furthermore, 16 graduates from the international master's program “Tropical Hydrogeology and Environmental Engineering” were honored.

Thanks to numerous helpers and excellent organization, a successful celebration was held following the official graduation ceremony.
