These are the pages of the former Geomaterials Science working group at the Institute of Applied Geosciences, which will no longer be updated from 11/2024. Geomaterial Science, which is synonymous to Applied Mineralogy that grew out of Classical Mineralogy, deals with natural, inorganic solids that are used to produce modern material systems with specific, functional properties.
As the term "Geomaterials Science" already indicates, this discipline bridges the gap between Geoscience and Materials Science in the areas of research and education.
