Software for Geoscientists

ArcGIS from the manufacturer ESRI, is a geographic information system (GIS) for the creation, processing and distribution of 2D, 3D, and 4D geographic data. Students and employees can obtain access to ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro as well as ArcGIS Online through the contacts of the AG Geoinformation.

The use of ArcGIS and SKUA-GOAD is taught by the AG Geoinformation.

SKUA-GOCAD is a software environment from Emerson, for surface-based and volumetric modeling of geological features. A limited number of licenses are available for the use of SKUA-GOCAD in research and teaching.

Students and staff can get access to SKUA-GOCAD through the contacts of the AG Geoinformation.

GST is the abbreviation for Geosciences in Space and Time. GST's framework provides components for storage and management as well as visualization and provision of CAD data.

The AG Geoinformation uses GST within the Darmstadt 3D project .
