During the orientation period, the institute and the student representatives would like to give you, the first-year students of the Bachelor's programme as well as the new students of the Master's programmes, the opportunity to get to know your institute, your study courses and your fellow students. In various events, not only the curriculum and examination regulations, but also the special opportunities, the fields of work and the career perspectives of the Applied Geosciences programme at the TU Darmstadt will be presented. In addition, we will give you an insight into the course of studies and the possibilities that Darmstadt offers you as a place of study. As a first-semester student, you should definitely take this opportunity to get to know your university and your new fellow students!

The lecture period begins on Monday, October 13th. The orientation week of the Applied Geosciences takes place in the week before the lecture period. The information events for new Bachelor students at the IAG start on Tuesday, October 7th, at 10:00 h. The program will be as follows:

Tuesday 7.10.: Welcome event and information about the course/study program; shared lunch; campus rallye

Wednesday 8.10.: Everything about studying geoscience; official TU welcome for first-semester students in the Audimax from 17:00 h.

Thursday 9.10.: In the morning students consultation, open consultation hours of the Student Office in person and online; in the afternoon excursion to the Messel Pit

Friday 10.10.: City rallye and pub crawl
